Childhood Juice

This juice blend was inspired by watermelon eaten on a hot L.A. day. The addition of lime and ginger brings tartness and a bit of heat to the cooling watermelon, and it’s topped with mint for an added refresher.

4 servings

  1. Cut limes into halves, then using a citrus juicer or press, juice limes and mix with cold water.
  2. Peel ginger root with a spoon, then cut into thumb-size chunks. Grate ginger, then strain into pitcher with lime and cold water until ginger and lime pulp remain in strainer.
  3. In a blender, slowly add one cup at a time of watermelon until completely blended. Strain into ginger-lime mixture. Serve with a sprig of fresh mint.
